The Striped Van

Bedford, U.K.

The Striped Van is a multi-functional, mobile, micro, arts-space for 2016. It can provide exhibition space for 2 and 2D artworks, cinema/moving image, digital, performance, light and sound based as well as real-time arts projects and interventions.

 

 

The Striped van began life as a 15ft Monza caravan; its 2015 renovation can be viewed here, and is part of the ongoing Arts Council England funded ‘Snakes and Ladders’ project devised by Sally Annett. Other partners and sponsors include Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership and Bedfordshire Rural Charities Commission.

 

Annett is currently devising a full programme of events for the next 18 months with the ‘Van’ touring the UK and internationally.

Uncertain States Collective UK – Photography
John Jupe UK – Painting
Johanne Hudson-Lett UK – Performance
Sally Annett /snakes and ladders – Various projects

 

‘The Striped Van’ will additionally be supporting Bedford Creative Arts summer projects, the ‘On the Verge’ (In conjunction with MKG) and Harpur Trust public and community arts projects in 2016.
